Implementation Evaluation of Government of Uganda’s National Co-Operative Policy

The project focused on the evaluation of Government of Uganda’s National Co-operative Policy funded by Government of Uganda through Office of the Prime Minister.

The goal of the implementation evaluation of the National Cooperatives Policy 2010 was to ascertain the extent to which its intended objectives are being attained, the effects of the policy on the country’s co-operative movement, and to determine the necessity, efficiency and validity of the policy.  

 

The implementation evaluation used a mixed methods including a review of national documents and reports and stakeholder engagements through Key Informant Interviews (KIIs) with officials at the district Local government, private sector, academia, development partners, civil society organizations, and cooperative societies at Primary and secondary level as well as at the national level.
