Holds a Ph.D. in Economics from the University of Dar-es-Salaam. Specializes in Development Economics, Natural Resource and Environmental Economics, macroeconomic policy, investment, and trade issues. Previously served as a Research Fellow at the Brookings Institution and Visiting Scholar at the International Monetary Fund.
